Challenge
Drink the wine, win the Ice! Oh yeah! This was another Beringer web promotion. They like giving stuff away. They wanted to allow visitors to enter to win priceless jewels. Well, maybe not priceless… but they were really nice.
Approach
Designed a slick interface with some wine and some ice (see what did there?). Then built a custom web application and database for the registration and drawing system. Visitors (after validating their age, of course) could register for a chance to win select diamond jewelry pieces and send a “tell-a-friend” email to up to 10 friends. Each week a random winner was automatically selected from the database.
